ANIMATING:

Having being a lot since I've animated it was really difficult but I mange to get round it again I just wish I could have had more time to do better work..

I found some really good reference walk cycle of a dinosaur over the internet which i thought might help..

Also had a look at the Richard Willams Book as well as Preston Blair Book
just to look at basic walk cycle keyframes as to help me with the animating.

Richard Williams:

Preston Blair:

I also look at a chicken's legs as well as the way it walks since they say that dinosaurs didn't extinct but evolved to birds.. And thought this image I found was quite usefull to help me understand a little bit better on how it would walk and shift his weight.

Problems = Extention =(

Having had an extension for this project wasn't one of my intentions but due to some personal issues I was going through I didn't have much choice.
Having had so more time I can say it hasn't help me to get this project done just because I still didn't know how to get about it.. What I had to do still didn't make same..
But nevertheless I did what I could just to do at least what I needed to do and that was to apply 3d element on a live action film of our choices.

So I thought I'd do a basic walk cyle of a rigg model which I found from the internet.
I found this really interesting Dinosaur model which I used for my clip.

Final Desicion for clip:

It took me quite a while till I figured what I wanted as well as which clip to choose from. Eventually picked a complete different one from the once I was thinking of, and choose a scene from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

Brief

Brief:

For this project we will be building on your existing animation and compositing skills. You will be introduced to Maya Matchmove camera techniques, lighting, advanced UV editing and modelling and have opportunities to improve your rigging and animation skills. To make it all manageable you will first be introduced to project management and tracking software.

You will be working to create a short sequence mixing live action with Maya derived animation or props and buildings.

There are two aims for this project: first to enable you to plan and execute a project in a productive manner, thus enabling you to make the most of the time constraints on this and all future projects. The second is to improve your animation and modelling skills and enable you to show those skills off in an engaging and entertaining way.

In order to achieve the above you must choose a short clip from a film and composite in your own animated character, props or buildings. Perhaps you feel that Four Weddings and A Funeral would have been better if there had been more gorillas in it. Or that Titanic would have been better with giant sea monsters. This is your chance to put things right. The clip you use must, when composited, show at least 30 seconds of your own animation. I recommend that you do not choose any animated films as you will have to match or better the existing characters in the film. I can guarantee that the animators working on that film would have had a lot more time than you have for this project. So keep your choice to a live action film.
